Legends of Runeterra has been going through a rough patch after Riot Games’ announced the downsizing of the LoR team and shifting the focus towards Path of Champions back in January.
This has forced many of the PvP players to leave the game, looking for the next competitive card game to dive into.
After three months, the downsizing of the team is showing its repercussions, with more bugs showing and patches being delayed.
Small bugs here and there are acceptable and can be played around. However, the latest bug is literally preventing mobile players whether on Android or IOS from playing the game entirely, crashing everytime they try to launch the game.
This is a massive issue for a video game company when your customers are unable to play the game at all.
Riot has shipped two emergency patches to fix the issue, but it seems not all bugs have been squished. Many players continue to report issues with launching the game.
Runeterra’s Executive Producer, Riot Shen, shared an update on Twitter, stating that there are two severe bugs affecting Android users and it won’t be resolved until next week!
This left players outraged, sharing their frustration online and demanding compensation since they’re missing out on daily quests.
Workaround the Bug
Users have shared that launching the game through the Play Store could dodge the bug. But it’s not a guaranteed workaround, and will more so depends on your luck.
