Nilah Twisted Fate Eternal Deck Guide – Legends of Runeterra

Nilah Twisted Fate is a popular deck in Legend of Runeterra’s Eternal ranked mode. This archetype has unlimited access to draw tools, making sure it doesn’t run out of plays and even synergizes with a couple of your cards.

Decklist

How to Play

The Nilah Twisted Fate deck has the early game units to create pressure on the field as you set up your win conditions. Using cards like Nilah, Maryam, Zaunite Urchin, and Windborne Mariner you can squeeze Nexus damage that will go a long way for the later stages of the game.

The mid-game will be more focused on leveling up Twisted Fate, creating insane value from his destiny cards. Since the list runs a lot of draw cards, we don’t have to worry about running out of resources, and at the same time, we can turbo-level both champions.

Sunken Temple is a turn 5 play, which can solo carry the game if it sticks on the board. The cost reduction and additional draw will put us ahead of the opponent with every turn it activates its effect.

We’ll then be using Ruined Rex for that Cannon Barrage, killing the opponent’s board and creating an opportunity for one massive attack to win the game. If we’re still struggling to drop them to 0 health, the list has the burn power to deal that tiny damage needed to win the game.

Nilah and Vikrash the Exuberant create a Slipstream in the top 6 cards of your deck, which can later be played for the draw value or to synergize with some of your cards. Nilah’s Brash makes her difficult to block if the opponent doesn’t have a 3 health Character on the board. When leveled, Nilah deals 2 damage to all units and Nexus, adding to that aggression game plan. Since the list is filled with draw tools, you’ll level up Nilah quickly.

Additionally, Vikrash’s elusive allows you to sneak 2 damage to their Nexus, forcing opponents to find an answer.

Twisted Fate is a win condition in this deck that opponents can’t afford to leave him alive for too long. If Twisted Fate sticks on the board for 1 turn, your deck is capable of leveling him up on the spot with the many draw tools it has. Cards like Slipstream, Maryam, Zaunite Urchine, Exalted Cloudwinder, and Rummage accelerate Twisted Fate’s level up and give you access to his Destiny Cards.

Blue, Red, and Yellow cards offer a draw engine, board control, and Nexus burn, outvaluing the opponent if Twisted Fate remains on the board for a couple of turns. This puts you a step closer to dropping the Nexus’ health to 0.

Sunken Temple is another powerful card in this deck. The landmark Updrafts your hand and draws you an extra card, making things cheaper to play while also giving you additional value. If it Updrafts your hand while Twisted Fate is on the board, you automatically level up your champion.

Ruined Rex synergizes with the draw powers of this deck, letting you unleash a Cannon Barrage at the opponent’s board, destroying it. Some hits might strike the opponent’s Nexus, but the main goal is to remove as many units as possible, paving the way for your attackers to attack the Nexus.

With Sunken Temple reducing the cost of cards in our hand, we could play Ruined Rex at a lower cost, giving us room for more play on the same turn to keep the pressure plan going.

Burn Cards

Mystic Shot, Get Excited, and Devine Whildwind are your burn cards to destroy the opponent’s Nexus. Divine Whildwind also acts as a control tool, damaging an opponent’s units while also damaging their Nexus.

You might find yourself in situations where using Mystic Shot to kill a 2-health unit is necessary to shut down the opponent’s plans.

Other Cards to Include

Since the deck draws a lot every turn, Gotcha! can be easily played for its cost-reduction effect, killing a unit without spending much mana.

Riptide Rex is a win condition that acts similarly to Ruined Rex.

Eye of Nagakabouros adds to that draw engine while spawning a Tentackle to either act aggressively or protect your Nexus.
