Howdy! The Puffcaps Caitlyn Teemo deck has had its ups and downs in Runeterra’s metas for years. There have been different versions of this deck, the most popular being the Frejlord and Bandle City versions. This article will showcase both versions and highlight their key differences.
Caitlyn Teemo General Plan
The Caitlyn Teemo deck aims to plant as many Puffcaps in the opponent’s deck as possible using cards like Teemo, Puffcap Peddler, and Chump Whump. With every draw, the opponent risks finding those Poison Puffcaps that will damage their Nexus, eventually dropping its health to zero.
A leveled Teemo can be a win condition, double the number of Puffcaps in the opponent’s deck. They’ll be forced to remove him before he gets to strike their Nexus.
Puffcap Peddler is our strongest Poison Puffcaps generator in this deck. Once played, we can cast our spells to trigger his effect, planting 3 Poison Puffcaps with every spell. He synergizes with the Mushroom Clouds Chump Whump creates.
Force Draw
The list runs a lot of cards that force the opponent to draw a card, this accelerated our win condition as it’s also forcing them to potentially trigger a Posion Puffcap and damage their Nexus.
Hexore Foundary and Charlatan Fishmonger are your strongest card draw engines but can be difficult to develop. We usually don’t want Charlatan Fishmonger at any risk of getting killed and want to protect him for as long as possible.
Caitlyn’s job is to add early-game aggression, her quick attack makes it difficult for the opponent to block and kill her. Getting 3 hits on their Nexus can be huge to win the game later on. The Flashbomb Traps she plants can pick off low-health units, giving you a tool to control the board.
Corina, Mastermind is the late-game carry, activating all traps in the top 5 cards in the opponent’s deck, potentially winning you the game on the spot. You might find yourself in scenarios where you’d rather plant Flashbomb Traps, but that’s mainly if you’re against an aggressive deck and you really need those Flashbomb Traps to kill their units.
Caitlyn Teemo Freljord

The Frejlord version has access to defensive cards to keep units like Teemo, Puffcap Peddler, and Caitlyn alive for as long as possible. Elixer of Iron and Sky Splitter are your best protection for your units and you usually want to hold onto them until Puffcap Peddler is on the board to trigger the Poison Puffcap generation.
Freezes like Flash Freeze and Harsh winds are also great combat tricks to shut down attackers, protecting your units and your Nexus. The Freljord version can stretch out games with all the defensive tools it has at its disposal, buying you time to force opponents to draw more cards.
Caitlyn Teemo Bandle City
The Bandle City lacks the defensive capabilities of the Freljord region but compensates with Bandle City’s ability to plant more Poison Puffcaps.
With Mister Thrift and Bursting Backpack, this version can plant more Puffcaps without having to commit too much mana. This list also runs cards like Ava Achiever for more Puffcaps pressure and a Condense to create a copy of Corina, Mastermind.
