Howdy! Rob Lucci is still dominating the OP7.5 meta, even after the Enies Lobby ban. Most of the top players took Black Rob Lucci to the Liverpool, UK Championship Finals, where the winner would earn a spot in the Worlds Championship in Japan! The tournament had some incredible matches, with Rob Lucci decks filling out most of the top 8. But in the end, it was Black Yellow Luffy that had the last laugh, taking home the win and securing their spot for Worlds!

Black Yellow Luffy has an amazing matchup against Black Rob Lucci, a deck the BY Luffy will most likely bump into multiple times throughout the tournament. The 5-cost Black Sabo is the key card in this matchup, replaying him every turn from the Trash gives your whole field immunity against KO effects, ruining the Lucci player’s plan. Benjamin cuts out all Ace from the list, running more control tools Kuzans, Yellow Sabo, and Finger Pistol instead.
Black Yellow Monkey.D.Luffy is a combo deck that thrives against Black decks. Dropping to 0 Life cards is usually not the way to go, but for B/Y Luffy, this enables its combo plans, getting access to Adult brothers from the Trash and placing them in your Life area. You’ll then play those Adults by activating the kid brothers.
Gecko Moria is the main reason this deck exists in the meta. On 10 Don you’re planning to play Gecko Moria and bring back two of the kids, enabling you to play out two Adults on the field.

The Rob Lucci player, Juraj Vranic, made it to second place, unfortunately, just one game away from making it to worlds. Black Yellow Luffy is the worst matchup for this deck, so they definitely were not happy matching against it in the finals.
Black Rob Lucci is known for his control strategy, removing opponent’s Characters before they get a chance to attack. The 4-cost Rob Lucci is the MVP of this deck, capable of KOing two Characters on the turn he’s played. Opponents’ Characters need to be at 2 and 1 cost for Lucci to KO, so we use cost-reduction cards to bring them within range of his KO effect.
Gecko Moria is the deck’s strongest play, allowing you to play multiple characters in one turn. The straightforward play is to go Rob Lucci through Gecko Moria, along with a Helmeppo, Tsuru, or Spandam. Alternatively, you can bring back Rebecca as a blocker, who will then play Spandine, setting up Rob Lucci from the trash.

Blue Nami made it into the top 5, which wasn’t too surprising after the R/P Law ban, though we did expect to see it more in tournaments.
This deck plays completely differently from the usual style. Instead of focusing on attacks and field control, Blue Nami is all about surviving long enough to mill itself out. Nami’s cards are designed to block attacks while trashing its own deck, aiming to get to 0 cards as quickly as possible.
When Nami has no cards left, the player wins automatically, so the opponent has to rush this matchup, constantly applying pressure and trying to finish the game before Nami can hit zero cards.

The Purple-Blue Vinsmoke Reiju rose in popularity after R/P law was banned. This deck’s biggest weakness is a deck capable of staying on less Don the them, effectively shutting down the Vinsmoke strategy.
The Reiju deck revolves around Vinsmoke Characters like Reiju, Niji, and Ichiji as key cards of its strategy. The lower-cost versions can cheat out their higher-cost counterparts from the Trash or hand but require you to return 1 Don to activate their effects. Returning a Don also triggers your Leader’s effect, allowing you to draw a card for extra value.
The 3-cost Porche sets up an aggressive tempo, playing one of your low-cost Vinsmoke Characters, who in turn cheats out their higher-cost version—developing two Characters in the early game.
8-cost Vinsmoke Judge is the deck’s strongest play, enabling you to flood the field with multiple Vinsmoke Characters. The sheer number of Characters can overwhelm opponents, setting you up for a decisive turn to close out the game.

With R/P Law banned, Green Bonney has a way better experience in OP07 meta. This deck excels at a defensive game plan, stalling out games until high-cost threats start dropping. Leader Bonney’s effect rests one of the opponent’s attackers, slowing down their aggression. Blockers and 5-cost Bonney further reinforce this strategy, buying time to either clear the opponent’s field or transition into a more aggressive stance against their Leader.
7-cost Hody Jones rests two of the opponent’s Characters and goes for an attack on the turn he’s played with his Rush keyword. Whether you focus on clearing the field or attacking the opponent’s leader will depend on the game’s current state.
Roronoa Zoro is a late-game win condition, attacking multiple times in one turn, which can be too difficult for most decks to handle.
