The Pokémon Pocket A3b Eevee Grove expansion introduces lots of new cards to explore! With the addition of several new ex Pokémon, this set opens the door to fresh archetypes and greater deck diversity, making it easier for every player to find a strategy that fits their playstyle.
Today, I’ll share a couple of new decks to try out in the early meta! We’re still in the experimental phase, so lists will likely change up in the upcoming weeks as they adapt to the best performer!
Flareon ex

This Fire deck uses Turtonator as an early attacker, going for the Fire Spin attack to deal 90 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon before discarding a Fire Energy. That discarded Fire Energy will later come to use when we get Flareon ex in play.
Flareon ex activates its Combust ability to attach a Fire energy to itself from the discard pile. It will, though, deal 20 damage to itself, but getting Fire Spin online faster is worth it.
Fire Spin requires 3 Energy to deal 130 damage before discarding 2 Fire Energy, perfect to one-shot higher-HP Pokémon. Eevee Bag can push our damage outcome to 140 to one-shot bigger threats.
Alcremie Slurpuff

The Alcremie Slurpuff is all about activating your Sweet Relays attack to push for more damage on later turns. Slurpuff deals 30 damage with Sweet Relay, but if you’ve activated this attack on the previous turn, you’re dealing 90 damage instead. As for Alcremie, it deals 40 damage for every Sweet Relay you’ve activated throughout the game, which can act as a finisher in the late game.
Since all our attacks require colorless energy, we can run Water Energy in this deck along with Irida for the 40 damage healing to keep our Pokémon in play.
Dragonite ex

This deck is running Oricorio for the early stall, giving us time until we can set up our Stage 2 Dragonites to carry the game. The non-ex Dragonite deals 50 damage 3 times to random targets, so managing to activate this attack twice in one game can net you the win.
As for Dragonite ex, it goes for a heavy 180 damage attack to one-shot an opponent’s Pokémon. On the downside, you can’t activate it on the upcoming turn, so you’ll have to retreat it for another Pokémon, which is why we’re running Leaf in the list.
Sylveon ex Espeon

We have multiple attackers in this list that can pose a threat to the opponent. The non-ex Sylveon deals 40 damage with its Evoharmony attack, but it increases by 30 damage for every Evolution Pokemon we have in play, so you can deal up to 130 damage! As for Espeon, it shines most in the late-game; the more Energy you have attached, the more damage you’re dealing with Espeon’s Energy Crush.
Sylveon ex is a value card, drawing you 2 cards when you evolve into it through its Happy Ribbon ability. It’s not a major threat, only dealing 70 damage with its attack, but perfect for adding more resources to your hand and finding the cards you need.
Primarina ex

Silvally is the early Stage 1 attacker, dealing 50 damage to the opponent’s Pokémon, but if you’ve played a Supporter card during this turn, Silvally’s Brave Buddies deals 100 damage instead. It’s a great early attacker to pressure the opposing player as you set up your Primarina ex win condition.
Primarina ex is a Stage 2 Pokémon, so we’re relying on Rare Candy to skip the Stage 1 evolution and go from Popplio to Primarina ex. Primarina exs Hydro Pump deals 40 damage, but if you have more than Water Energy attached to it, you’re going for 80 damage instead. As for Sparkling Aura, you get to deal 100 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon while also healing Primarina ex for 20 damage, which can potentially keep it in play for an additional turn.
