The OP10 Regionals have kicked off, and we’ve had amazing games so far, with underdog decks winning it all! In the UKTC London Regional, 963 players battled it out for first place, and Shanks, Teach, and Doflamingo were the most brought decks. However, the finals had none of those Leaders, instead, we witnessed two Lim players going up against each other to win it all.
1st Place Green Purple Lim

The winner of the UKTC London regional is Green Purple Lim, with a bit of a strange build. The list mainly focuses on 5-cost {ODYSSEY} type Characters, cutting out all the higher-cost cards we usually see like 9-cost Adio, 9-cost Shanks, or 9-cost Roronoa Zoro.
Leader Lim’s effect lets you ramp 1 rested Don and cheat out a 5-cost or less {ODYSSEY} type Character, allowing you to go wide on the field and line up multiple Characters. The Characters you play will join in rested, but that plays into your strategy since {ODYSSEY} type Characters require you to have a number of rested Characters in play to activate their effects.
This deck is trying to attack multiple times a turn, pressuring the opposing player and bleeding them from Counter resources. 5-cost Enel and 5-cost Sabi draw cards, making sure you don’t run out of steam quickly.
Top Knot and Usho Hachi can help remove a blocker from the equation, allowing you to fully commit on attacking the opponent’s Leader and winning the game.
5-cost Edward Newgate and 6-cost Sakazuki can help with board control, removing an opponent’s Characters and slowing the opponent down, making it even harder for them to keep up with our aggression.
2nd Place Green Purple Lim

The Green Purple Lim that made second place looks more like the lists we usually see without Kurozami Orochi, Artificial Devil Fruit Smile, and Top Knot. However, this list is also playing aggressively, cutting out all the high-cost Characters and focusing on filling up the field with multiple {ODYSSEY} type Characters.
3rd Place Red Shanks

Red Shanks is the most-played deck in this tournament, using Leader’s Power reduction effect to slow your opponent down. The list has Benn.Beckman, Silvers Rayleigh, and 10-cost Shanks to remove an opponent’s Character from play, lowering the opponent’s presence on the field and weakening their upcoming turn.
Red shanks decks are including multiple Rush attackers to play more aggressivgely, having 5-cost Luffy, 8-cost Monkey D.Dragon, and 10-cost Shanks to keep the attacks coming and forcing your opponent to play their Counter cards.
10-cost OP09 Shanks reduces the Power of all of the opponent’s Characters, making it easier for you to remove them and making it harder for them to get their attacks through.
4th Place Black Marshall D.Teach

Shiryu has become a popular inclusin in Black Marshall D.Teach, allowing you to KO 3-cost or less Characters like Sanji, Lim, or Donquixote Rosinante. Teach trashes a card from hand to shut down On Play effects, disrupting the opposing player’s and making it harder for them to get value out of their cards.
Understanding matchups and which turns your opponent wants to use On Play effects is important to play Teach efficiently. Finger Pistol and Black Hole are there to KO higher-cost Characters, and with Stronger and Van Augur you can reduce a Characters cost to KO a more threatening Character.
Jesus Burgess gains Power the more cards are in your trash, eventually turning into a win condition that can go for heavy attacks to win you the game. As for 10-cost Teach, he can slow opponent down with his effect and the blocker keyword. You can continue to use him as a blocker to prolong the game, or use his 12,000 Power offensively to take a Life card.
This list has 4 copies of I Bid 500 Million!! which is mainly there for its trigger effect, allowing you to KO a 6-cost or less Character. Since the deck has multiple cards that let you trash a card from your hand, you can use I Bid 500 Million!! as a trash fodder to get value out of your effects.
Top 8 Blue Black Usopp

Leader Usopp synergizes with your {Dressrosa} type Characters, allowing you to draw a card whenever one of them is removed by an effect or KO’d. This allows players to use up more Counter plays since they’re guaranteed a draw engine within their Leader’s effect.
This deck is all about outvaluing opponents and keeping them from winning the board. 4-cost Roronoa Zoro and 7-cost Kyros to remove Characters from play. Developing a Character while also removing one of the opponent’s Characters is a great way to shift the game in your favor.
7-cost Rebecca is your strongest go-wide play, becoming an 8-cost through Leader Usopp’s effect, allowing you to activate her effect and cheat out two {Dressrosa} type Characters with a cost of 7 or less and 4-cost or less on the field. So we can play 7-cost Kyros to return one of the opponent’s Characters and 4-cost Characters like Roronoa Zoro, Cavendish, or Franky.
7-cost Monkey D.Luffy is the win condition, paired with Gum-Gum King Kong Gun, you can unleash two Double Attacks with Luffy to potentially win you the game.
