In every trading card game, we’re always curious how much people are willing to get their hands on the rarest cards out there. Old card games like Pokemon TCG, YuGiOh!, and MTG have been around for so long that some of the rarest cards are now worth millions of dollars.
Lorcana, on the other hand, is still the new kid on the block, it only launched on August 2023, so we can’t expect it to rival the old-school TCGs. However, it’s still interesting to get insight into how much the rarest Lorcana cards are priced at, so let’s get started!
5- Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor – D23 Promos
Price: $999.98
Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor, once sold for around $4,000 and now averages $1,000. Despite being better than Captain Hook, Mickey has a high in-game cost of 8 Ink. With 5 Strength, 5 Willpower, and the Evasive keyword, he gathers 4 Lore when Questing, making him desirable despite the play cost. The standard variant of Mickey is also pricey at $4.08, compared to Captain Hook’s $0.05. Cards from the D23 Expo, where the game debuted, remain highly sought after, with Mickey Mouse being especially iconic due to his well-rounded stats and Evasive ability, allowing quick and protected questing.
4- Elsa Spirit Of Winter (Alternate Art)
Price: $1,149.99
From The First Chapter onwards, Enchanted cards in Disney Lorcana have been the most desirable and valuable. Their beauty, with a spectacular foil finish and extended alternate art, limited availability of just 12 per set, and extreme rarity (about 1 in every 72 booster packs) contribute to their high value. Add to this the initial stock problems Ravensburger faced, and it’s clear why these cards are so prized.
Elsa, Spirit of Winter, currently sells for around $950, while the non-Enchanted variant goes for about $12. In the game, Elsa costs 8 Ink (or 6 using Shift, placing her on top of another Elsa card), and has 4 Strength, 6 Willpower, and 3 Lore. Upon entering play, she can exert up to 2 characters, preventing them from switching to Ready on their owner’s next turn, which is a thematic representation of her freezing abilities. This ability can hinder opponents’ powerful characters from adding lore or using abilities, making them vulnerable to challenges.
3- Captain Hook – Forceful Duelist – D23 Promos
Price: Price – $1303
Back then, Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist was at the bottom of the list, despite selling for around $2,000. Now, it’s at the top, even with new sets available. Currently, the D23 Promo version of Captain Hook is valued at about $1,300 on TCGPlayer. The card costs 1 Ink to play and can be used as an Ink. With 1 Strength and 2 Willpower, he gains an extra 2 Strength when Challenging due to the Challenger +2 keyword. He also earns one Lore point when Questing. Despite his high collectible value, the standard version of the card costs about $0.09, showing a stark price difference.

Price: $3,367.00
Maleficent – Monstrous Dragon has been a staple card in multiple meta decks thanks to her control ability, she can banish any character on play while remaining on the field as a high Willpower Character and is capable of Questing for 2 Lore.
The D23 Promos card is worth around $3,367 on CardTrader, however, the Standard version is pricey as well, selling for $26.24.

The Elsa – Snow Queen is one of the most expensive Locana cards out there, selling for $7,999.99, a hefty price tag.
Elsa is a popular Disney character, loved by the fans. The Standard Elsa card only costs $0.26, which is an insane value difference.
