The OP11 Purple Charlotte Katakuri Leader centers around the Big Mom Pirates, with multiple Charlotte Linlin cards serving as key powerhouses in the deck. This deck thrives on gaining insight into your opponent’s next draw, giving you information on the cards in your opponent’s hand. You can also trigger powerful effects by “guessing” the cost of the top card of your opponent’s deck. But thanks to Leader Katakuri’s ability, there’s no real guessing involved—you’ll already know the exact cost of the card.
Proper sequencing of attacks and effects is crucial for this Purple deck to function effectively. While it may feel tricky at first, mastering its flow will let you consistently maximize the value of your cards.
Leader

Purple Charlotte Katakuri is a 5-Life Leader with an effect that activates once per turn, either when he attacks or when your opponent attacks. To use the effect, you return 1 Don!! to your Don!! deck, then look at the top card of your opponent’s deck and gain +1,000 Power on your Leader.
The +1,000 Power boost strengthens both offense and defense, making it easier to pressure your opponent on attacks and requiring fewer Counter cards to stop incoming damage. Gaining knowledge of the opponent’s top card helps predict their hand—giving you insight into their potential Counter resources and helping you make better attack decisions.
The deck includes cards like Charlotte Perospero and 10-cost Charlotte Linlin, which require you to guess the cost of your opponent’s top card to trigger their effects. Leader Katakuri’s ability ensures you always have this information, making sure you get the most out of your cards.

How to Play
Early Searchers

Charlotte Pudding and We’re Going to Claim the One Piece!!! are 1-cost searchers to look at the top 5 cards in your deck and add a {Big Mom Pirates} type card in your hand. We can find mid-game cards like Charlotte Perospero or late game plays like Charlotte Katakuri and Charlotte Linlin.
Ramp Back

We have multiple ways to ramp, primarily to recover the Don!! spent on activating Leader Katakuri’s effect. This allows us to trigger it early in the game without falling behind on Don!! and slowing down our Character development.
Charlotte Pudding and Eustass “Captain” Kid both activate their effects when you return a Don!!, immediately giving one back. Pudding provides a rested Don!!, while Kid gives an Active Don!! that can be used to play more cards or go for stronger attacks.
Eustass “Captain” Kid also serves as a blocker, helping to protect Leader Katakuri from attacks. This becomes especially useful in the late game when Life cards are running low and defense becomes a priority.
If you have both Charlotte Pudding and Eustass “Captain” Kid in play and then deramp with your Leader, you’ll gain 2 Don, ramping up by 1 to speed up your upcoming turn.

5-cost Charlotte Perospero‘s Activate: Main trashes a card from your hand and then lets you “guess” the cost of the top card in the opponent’s deck to activate his effect, drawing you a card and adding 1 Active Don from your Don deck.
So we’ll first play Charlotte Perospero and then attack with Leader Katakuri to activate his effect and look at the top card in the opponent’s deck. After that, we can activate Charlotte Perospero‘s effect, giving us back the Don we returned through the Leader effect and filtering your hand to hopefully find better cards.
Charlotte Katakuri Set Up

The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri has a strong effect that cheats out the 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri. If you play or have 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri on the field, you can activate his effect to trash him and play a Charlotte Katakuri with a cost of 3 or more that is equal to or less than the number of DON!! cards on your opponent’s field.
So if your opponent is at 8 Don or more, you can play 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri through the 2-cost version’s effect without using 8 Don, creating an opportunity two develop to Characters in one turn.
You can play 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri on earlier turns, setting up an even stronger future turn when you can activate his effect. However, depending on the matchup, there is a risk that your opponent KO’s or removes 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri, shutting down your set up.
8-cost Charlotte Katakuri is your strongest defensive play, a Blocker with 8,000 Power to protect your Leader. Usually, you can’t attack with a blocker if you want to continue using them defensively on your opponent’s turn, but Charlotte Katakuri breaks those rules thanks to his effect.
At the end of your turn, you can set 2 of your {Big Mom Pirates} type Characters with a cost of 3 or more as Active. So Charlotte Katakuri can set himself and Charlotte Linlin as Active, allowing you to attack with Charlotte Katakuri and still have him as a blocker to protect your Leader.
Charlotte Katakuri is also ramping a rested Don at the end of your turn, so if you deramp a lot, especially with your 10-cost Charlotte Linlin, Katakuri will help you recover that Don.
Big Moms

9-cost Charlotte Linlin provides an extra Life card and removes a 6-cost Character from your opponent’s field, placing it on the top or bottom of their Life Area. To activate Charlotte Linlin effect, you’ll have to return 1 Don and trash a card from your hand. The extra Life card you gain and the Character you remove from play will help stabilize the game, giving you more time to create an opportunity to win the game.
As for 10-cost Charlotte Linlin, she’s a Rush Character, attacking on the turn she’s played with her 12,000 Power. You’ll often attack a rested Character to KO it, but the Rush attack can be used aggressively, targeting the opponent’s Leader directly.
10-cost Charlotte Linlin effect activates during your opponent’s turn when they attack, letting you declare the cost of your opponent’s top card in their deck to give your Leader +2,000 Power for the turn. You will have to return 5 Don to activate this effect, but gaining +2,000 Power for the turn means you’ve turned Katakuri into a 7,000 Power Leader, making it difficult for your opponent to get attacks through if they have multiple attackers with less than 7,000 Power. It also will make it easier for you to Counter out of attacks, as you’ll need fewer Counter cards to do so.
Since we have to declare the cost of the top card in the opponent’s deck, we’ll need to activate Leader Katakuri‘s effect first, and then follow it up with 10-cost Charlotte Linlin‘s effect. So, you’ll return 6 Don in one turn, which can put you behind on your upcoming attack turn.
Counter Events

We have multiple cards in this list with no Counter effect, so having Gum-gum Jet Gatling can be useful to gain +3,000 Power by trashing a card from your hand.
When Two Men Are Fighting the Last Thing I Need Is Some Half-Hearted Assistance!!!! activates after you’ve declared the cost of the top card in the opponent’s deck and it has the same cost as the declared cost. Your Leader or one of your Characters +5,000 Power, helping you Counter one of the opponent’s high-power attacks.
+2,000 Counters

Streusen and Charlotte Daifuku are {Big Mom Pirates} type cards, so you can find them through your searcher cards. Streusen lets you declare the cost of the top card in the opponent’s deck to activate its effect, resting a Character with a cost of 4 or less. You can use this to rest a Blocker, paving the way for your attacking to strike the opponent’s Leader.
Black Maria is a searchable card with 1-cost We’re Going to Claim the One Piece!!!. Although you’re unlikely to play her on the field, she is a ramp card if you fall too low on Don by playing your 10-cost Charlotte Linlin.

- 1-cost Charlotte Anana gains a blocker if you have another Character with the type {Big Mom Pirates} in play, enabling her to protect you from an attack.
- 6-cost Sanji is a blocker, but you’ll usually play him as a Counter card. Playing Charlotte Linlin will put you at 2 or more behind your opponent, so you could play Sanji for 3 Don only to have him as a blocker to protect your Leader from an attack.
- Charlotte Oven‘s effect requires you to choose a cost, so it synergizes with your Leader’s effect. If activated, you can KO a 3-cost Character and ramp 1 Don.
- Cognac Mama-Mash is a control card that activates when you choose the cost of the top card in the opponent’s deck, so it works with your Leader effect. Cognac Mama-Mash can KO a Character with an original cost of 8 or less.
