Howdy! Lost Zone Box is an old Pokemon deck that had its ups and downs and with the Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade expansion, the deck recieved a boost in performance and has been a popular choice among players.
How to Play
The Lost Zone deck revolves around the Lost Zone, putting cards in there as fast as possible to hit 7 cards and then go for 10.
Comfey is the card to start putting cards in the Lost Zone. You’ll need Comfy in the Active Spot to activate his Flower Selecting, letting you look at the top 2 cards in your deck, draw one of them, and put the other in the Lost Zone.
If we have multiple Comfey on the board, we’ll use cards like Switch, Switch Card, and Rescue Board to start switching between them to activate Flower Selecting multiple times a turn, accelerating our game plan by placing more cards in the Lost Zone.
Colress’s Experiment and Lost Vacuum are two other cards that give us that little push by putting two cards in the Lost Zone. Lost Vacuum needs to see a Pokemon Tool or a Stadium in play to put in the Lost Zone, so if we must we can put PokéStop in the Lost Zone.
Once we hit 7 cards in the Lost Zone, Mirage Gate can be played, searching your deck for 2 basic Energy Cards of different types and letting you attach them to your Pokemon. This makes it easier for you to get those Energy Cards on Iron Hands ex, Iron Thorns ex, or Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex.
Sableye is our early damage output. Once we hit 10 cards in the Lost Zone, we can use Lost Mine to start putting damage counters on the opponent’s Pokemon. We’re usually sniping the back line with Lost Mine, disrupting the opposing player’s game plan.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex is our strongest damage output with Blood Moon dealing 240 damage. In the late game, it’s easier to activate Blood Moon with it costing 1 Energy less for each Prize card the opponent has taken. Activating Blood Moon means we can’t attack with Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex on the upcoming turn, so we’ll want to switch it with another Pokemon like Iron Hands ex to continue our attacks.
