Yes! Kaiju No.8 is one of the best Anime in 2024 rivaling the likes of Solo Leveling and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
The story follows Kafka Hibino, a man in his 30s who, after ingesting a kaiju, gains the ability to turn into one and now must navigate using his power while trying to become part of an organization that eliminates kaiju to fulfill a promise he made with a childhood friend.
The World they live in has been overtaken by Kaijus “Monsters” and are now forced to fight back and defend the human race.
The anime has amazing graphics and fighting scenes. Kafka Hibino gives the hero vibe, ready to do whatever it takes to protect civilians and his comrades.
The opening music is fire too! I can’t count how many times I’ve repeated it. The opening song doesn’t spoil anything in the show, so listening to it, you won’t really get any actual anime scenes or get early sneak peeks on the characters in the show.
If you’re unsure if you want to pick up the show, go for it! The anime is worth watching! Be mindful that there are gore scenes of Monsters being killed, so be wary if you don’t have the stomach for it.
