Red Blue Caesar Clown OP10 Deck Guide – One Piece Card Game

Red-Blue Caesar Clown is one of the new OP10 Leaders in the One Piece card game, but he hasn’t seen much competitive success so far. While his effect is undeniably powerful—allowing you to KO your opponent’s Characters and control the field—its high activation cost makes it challenging to maximize its potential.

This decklist leans heavily into control, aiming to limit your opponent’s board presence, disrupt their strategy, and stall until you can take over the board and launch powerful finishing attacks.

We’re putting Caesar Clown to the test with this decklist, which recently made an appearance at a small tournament in Japan.

Leader

OP10-002

Red Blue Caesar Clown is a 4 Life card Leader, with a strong effect that allows you to KO one of the opponent’s Characters with a Power of 4,000 or less.

There are two conditions to activate Caesar Clown‘s effect, When Attacking, you have to have 2 Don attached on Caesar Clown to activate his effect, then you have to return a 2-cost or more {Punk Hazard} type Character.

So we already know we need to build this deck in a specific way, first, we need low-cost {Punk Hazard} type Characters that we can afford to bounce back to our hand through Caesar Clown‘s effect and second, we need Power reduction cards, to help put the Power of your opponent’s Characters at the 4,000 range for Caesar Clown to KO.

How to Play

Stage

OP10-021

You can rest Punk Hazard Stage and attach a Don to your Leader or one of your Characters, making things easier in future turns when you want to Active your Leader effect. You’re also gaining +1,000 Power to your attacks, which forces your opponent to play more Counter cards.

1-cost Searcher

OP10-004

Vergo is your best play early in the game, acting as a searcher card that looks at the top 5 cards in your and lets you add a {Punk Hazard} type card to your hand.

Vergo can later be bounced back to your hand through Leader Caesar Clown‘s effect, making it easier to activate the KO effect, and we can use Vergo to draw a card or as a Counter.

Early Characters

ST12-014
OP10-016

2-cost Duval can look at the top cards in our deck and allow us to reorder them however we wish or push them all at the bottom of the deck. This gives us control over which cards we’ll draw on our upcoming turns, making sure we have the plays we’ll need in future turns without worrying about bricking. Duval can later block one of the opponent’s attacks, protecting our Leader or an important rested Character.

As for Monet, she has an extremely strong effect that synergizes with Caesar Clown‘s strategy. You have to rest Monet to activate her effect, giving your Leader or one of your Characters 2 rested Don, then giving one of your opponent’s Characters -1,000 Power. So we’re giving the 2 rested Don to Leader Caesar Clown, setting us up to activate his effect and KO an opponent’s Character. Since Monet has a power reduction effect, we can now KO a 5,000 Power Character with our Leader effect and return Monet to our hand to prevent your opponent from attacking and KOing her.

OP10-005

3-cost Sanji only has 3,000 Power so he doesn’t seem much of a threat. However, during your turn, Sanji gains +3000 Power, turning him into a 6,000 Power attacker. On the downside, Sanji is an easy target for your opponents when he’s rested, and you don’t want to expend too many resources trying to protect a 3,000 Power Character.

However, since Sanji is a {Punk Hazard} type Character, we can return him to our hand through the Leader effect, preventing our opponent from getting an easy KO, and at the same time we activate our Leader’s KO effect.

Power Reduction Characters

OP10-009
OP01-006
OP10-015

Smiley‘s On Play effect gives one of your opponent’s Characters -3,000. This means if you play it on Don 7, you can KO one of the opponent’s 7,000 Power Characters through Leader effect. However, if you have Monet in play, you can KO a Character with Smiley‘s help on Don 5, perfect if your opponent has a 6,000 Power Character.

You can also use Smiley‘s effect on a rested Character, making it more vulnerable to your attackers, and your opponent will have to think twice before using their Counters to protect it.

Otama and Mocha are +2,000 Counter cards but can be played for the Power reduction effects. Otama is the easier play, costing only 1 Don to reduce the Power of a Character by 2,000. You can combo this with your Leader or control Characters like Benn.Beckman and Silvers Rayleigh.

As for Mocha, she’s a bit more Don demanding, and only reduces the Power of an opponent’s Character by 1,000. What makes her a strong option is her being a {Punk Hazard} type Character, so she’s searchable and can be bounced back to your hand through Leader effect.

Control Characters

OP08-047
OP09-009

This list is heavy on the control cards, making sure your opponent doesn’t have full reign on the field.

Jozu has to return one of your Characters to return an opponent’s 6-cost or less Character, so we’ll need to have a low-cost Character in play we’re fine with bouncing back to our hand. Although your opponent gets to keep the card in their hand, they have to use Don to play it back on the field, which will slow them down and help put them behind in the game.

As for Benn.Beckman, he can trash an opponent’s Character with 6,000 Power or less. Since your list has Power reduction cards, Benn.Beckman might be a better play than Jozu if you’re trying to remove bigger Characters.

OP08-118

Silvers Rayleigh is your strongest play in this deck, and you often want to play him when you’re at 10 Don. When played, Silvers Rayleigh gives one of the opponent’s Characters -3,000 Power and another Character -2,000 Character, then he KO’s a Character with 3,000 Power or less. This means through Silvers Rayleigh, you can KO a 6,000 Power Character after you’ve reduced its Power. Then with our 2 Don left, we can activate Leader effect to KO the other Character that Silvers Rayleigh targeted, allowing us to KO another 6,000 Power or less Character.

Power Reduction Events

OP10-020
OP01-027

We have two strong Power reduction Events that synergize with your Leader’s effect, putting your opponent’s Characters in range for Caesar Clown to KO.

Gum-Gum Ufo is a 2-cost Event that reduces the Power of the opponent’s Character by -4,000. If you’re down to 2 Life cards or less, your Leader gains +1,000 Power until the end of your turn. Gum-Gum Ufo can put an 8,000 Power Character in range for your Leader to KO. However, it’s not tied to your Leader only but can also be used alongside Benn.Beckman and Silvers Rayleigh.

Round Table is a 4-cost Event, which gives one of the opponent’s Characters a whooping -10,000 Power. This Event will be comboed only with your Leader, allowing you to KO a Character with up to 14,000 Power.

Control Event

OP06-058

7-cost Gravity Blade Raging Tiger is the perfect play when your opponent has two 6-cost or less Characters, placing both at the bottom of their deck. You’re lowering the opposing players’ reach on their upcoming turn and removing two cards for 1 card, putting you ahead on resources.

What makes Gravity Blade Raging Tiger a strong removal option is its ability to place Characters in the opponent’s deck instead of their hand. They won’t have access to those cards anymore, and since you are returning cards and not KOing, KO immunity won’t be useful for your opponents.

Mulligan

1-cost Vergo to have an early searcher and a Character to Bounce. Punk Hazard Stage and Monet to start activating your Leader effect without expending as many resources.
